Anthea Benjamin is qualified as Arts Psychotherapist, Adolescent Therapeutic Counsellor and Group Analyst. She is a member of the Institute of Group Analysis (IGA) and UKCP.
Anthea has worked extensively with children, adolescents, adults, families and couples for over 12 years in various settings including schools, community projects and within the NHS. She currently works as a therapist delivering training and running groups for couples at the Tavistock Centre for Couple Relationships and runs various groups in different settings such as psychotherapy trainings, the NHS and community projects. She is also on the PTUK Register of Play and Creative Arts Therapists.
Anthea has a special interest in working with dissociation as a result of abuse, developmental trauma, looked after children or adults who have been in the care system and /or adoption, exploring issues of identity with adults and children who have been placed trans-racially or via inter-country processes.
